If you’re like most people, you’re feeling isolated, disconnected, and maybe lonely right now. You long for things to return to “normal.” As a follower of Christ, you have the assurance that God is in control, but what about those who don’t know God? People who are uncertain, isolated, and worried need to hear the hope of Christ, but you can’t have face-to-face conversations with them. Just as many people are learning to replace in-person meetings with Zoom calls, it’s time to learn how to share the hope and love of Jesus with the people in your life from a distance.
Digital outreach isn’t something new to Indigitous, having run many Digital Day of Outreach events over the last six years. To help those newly interested in learning how to do outreach at a distance, Indigitous is hosting a series of live Digital Outreach Workshops.
Next week we are hosting a series of live workshops to help you discover how you can share Jesus’ love with someone God’s placed in your life even if you can’t meet in person.
There will be four workshops:
- How to have a conversation about Jesus using the GodTools app
- How to start a spiritual conversation using the Jesus Film app
- How to take steps of faith in community
- How to host a Digital Day of Outreach
Each of the workshops will feature real stories of people having conversations about Jesus and share how you can shut down fear and take a step towards your friend. They will teach you practical ways to energize your friends to share the Gospel, provide videos that appeal to the greater questions in life and how God relates, and will model how to talk about Jesus if you can’t meet face to face.
GodTools workshop
This workshop is designed to help you grow your confidence in talking about what you believe by utilizing tools that are being used in conversations all over the world. GodTools offers you a variety of simple ways to walk someone through how to develop a relationship with God.
Jesus Film App workshop
Discovering someone’s story through the theme in a film is a great way to take the conversation deeper with friends. This workshop will teach how to use film to start these conversations. As you listen to their story, you can share your own and connect them to the person of Christ.
Taking steps of faith in community
This workshop will help you to be more intentional with your everyday relationships by taking the next best step to help others experience God. By taking these steps together, you can encourage and celebrate with your community as you join someone on their spiritual journey.
Hosting a Digital Day of Outreach
This workshop provides simple, step-by-step insight into how to prepare and host a Digital Outreach event in your church or community. As an effective personal evangelism approach, this outreach has been done in many different cities around the world.
All of these workshops are designed at a beginner’s level. If you don’t know how to share your faith digitally, any/all of these workshops are made for you. It is our prayer that these Digital Outreach Workshops will help you be a light in the darkness.
