Join us to share Jesus during GO 2020
If you could save a life from your home, how would you do it?
Instead of Netflix and video workouts, what if you took some time this weekend, May 16-17, to join with hundreds of other Jesus lovers to bring His love to someone desperately in need? We’ve got to do this together – take an intentional step towards people who need hope.
Join Indigitous May 16-17 for Digital Outreach, part of a GO 2020 initiative to mobilize 100 million believers to reach 1 billion people with this Gospel during the month of May. This weekend, we’re asking all followers of Jesus to take three simple steps: pray, care, and share.
What to expect
Digital Outreach is done in three simple steps that anyone can do from your own home, on your computer or phone.
Pray: Ask God to help you think of three to five people in your life who would benefit from growing closer to Christ.
“Let us never forget that the greatest thing we can do for God or for man is to pray. For we can accomplish far more by our prayers than by our work,” says the unknown author of The Kneeling Christian.
Care: From the list you created, take an action. Intentionally show God’s love to the people He has laid on your heart. Consider a digital way to intentionally show them God’s love in action.
For some people, there is no more powerful way to show God’s love, to show that they matter to God, than to care for them as a child of God. “Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven,” Jesus says in Matthew 5:16.
Caring can be as simple as bringing someone groceries or joining them on a video call to listen to them. People are always in need of acts of love, but especially at a time like this. Small gestures of loving action will go a long way.
Share: Rely on the Holy Spirit as you take the initiative with the people you are praying for. Come alongside them on their spiritual journey by sharing your faith using a digital tool.
If that part sounds difficult or scary, it doesn’t need to. Recently Jomer Gallana, a digital strategist with Cru Philippines, hosted a webinar for Indigitous about Digital Outreach. In that webinar, he shared simple steps you can take to share with others in a natural way using short video clips and questions that invite discussion. We will also share a Digital Outreach guide after you register, to help you through the process.
During the discussion, you will have an opportunity to share your personal testimony. “Your personal testimony may have resonance with how God is moving in their lives,” Jomer says. And remember that whether or not they come to know Christ is not on your shoulders. Cru founder Bill Bright defined success in witnessing as “simply taking the initiative to share Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit and leaving the results to God.”
Sign up for the Indigitous Digital Outreach and you’ll receive access to the guide we will use and the online community where we will encourage and celebrate with each other as the Holy Spirit moves. Why not grab a friend and sign up together?
Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it. (Habakkuk 2:2)
