Have you ever wanted to know more about Indigitous or about digital missions? Have you wondered about how you can play a part in what God is doing through Indigitous around the world? Are you looking for tips or best practices about how to make Jesus known in a digital world? Do you have digital talents that are underutilized by the Church?
If you answered yes to any of those questions, you should join the first ever Indigitous Open House this Saturday, April 23.
What’s an open house?
The Indigitous Open House will take part in two sessions. In the first session, we’ll all meet over Zoom, where you’ve done most of your meetings over the last two years. But that’s just the first 20 minutes of the program. During this segment, you will hear the overall vision for Indigitous and some inspiring stories from people God is using to bless those in their sphere of influence.
If you’re new to Indigitous, the Zoom portion will be a great way for you to learn about the movement. Even if you know a lot about Indigitous, you won’t want to miss the stories. We don’t always get to see what God is doing around the world, so this a great chance to get a small glimpse of His work.
But don’t worry. This isn’t just a one-way conversation where we talk at you the whole time. We all get Zoom fatigue. That’s where the second session comes in. That part will be interactive and – we hope – fun!
For that part, we’ll all meet on a platform called Gather.Town for a virtual house party. Gather.Town is part meeting room, part video game and it’s a fun way to meet other people, get more information, and just check out the different aspects of Indigitous.
You’ll have an opportunity to take a deep dive in learning more about different aspects of Indigitous. You can mingle with other like-minded people who joined the open house with you. You can meet members of Indigitous leadership one on one and ask them questions.
If you’re a Christian with digital talent, you can find ways to use those talents for God and learn about exciting missional projects that need help. If you’re just searching for ways to make an impact with your smartphone and computer, we can talk about various resources that can help you do that more effectively.
We hope you’ll join us for our first Open House. If you’re coming, make sure you register so we can send you the links for Zoom and Gather.Town.
