Focusing on Social Media for #HACK2025 is more than just content creation – it’s about redemption through digital reach. If you’re a content creator, aspiring influencer, meme-maker, or even a quiet lurker with a heart to serve, this track is made for you.

Social media is a mission field

The Great Commission said, “Go into all the world,” and in 2025, “all the world” includes TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, X, Threads, YouTube, and more. The average person spends 2.5 hours daily on social media—that’s more time than most people spend at church in a week.  If we truly believe Jesus deserves to be known, He must be known where people are.

This isn’t just a theory. Here’s how people are already doing it:

But I’m not an influencer

Good news: You don’t need to be. You just need to be willing.

In one case, a small online community of 15 members started a TikTok prayer campaign during lockdown. Without any paid ads or viral creators, they were able to gain traction and see prayer requests flood in from people around the world.

Another participant, Gen Z artist Yna, joined a hackathon and created aesthetic Instagram graphics paired with prayer points and Scripture. Her content led to shares in both Christian and secular groups, bringing faith conversations into new digital spaces.
