What’s Up, Indigitous? January 2025 Highlights

Activities in the Indigitous Network in January 2025

For the Indigitous network, January was filled with activity as numerous communities, from South Asia to North America, gathered, planned, and launched gospel-focused strategies for 2025.

Singapore

In Singapore the Indigitous leadership team met with Jason Wong, founder of Yellow Ribbon Project and the Dads for Life Movement, and learned more about his leadership in the continuation of a key #HACK2024 project. Focused on mobilizing the ‘Monday Church,’ the 99% of Christians in the workplace, this project is in collaboration with the Father’s House, Koinonia.Cloud, Digital Wesley, Hope Church, and CRU Singapore.

Indigitous Singapore hosted a meetup on January 23rd with these partners and numerous tech company founders. The gathering was filled with delicious Singaporean food and a time of discussion and prayer about innovative projects happening in Singapore.

South Asia

In South Asia, the Indigitous community is gathering a group of digital strategy leaders to answer the question: ‘How can those working in the missions and technology space collaborate to further the Great Commission?’ Plans and discussions are in place for three conferences at the intersection of missions and technology to take place in three large cities across South Asia in 2025.

“We are passionate about seeing faith and technology converge in South Asia through vibrant gatherings, deeper collaborations with thought leaders, and empowered city champions,” said K., pastor and co-organizer of the South Asia conferences. “Our hearts long to follow where God is already moving, embracing a future where technology serves His kingdom.”

Indigitous South Asia is also preparing to launch a website to equip followers of Jesus to use technology to share their faith. As a followup project from #HACK2024, the local Indigitous community started an Instagram page, @christian_reel_templates, to provide churches throughout South Asia with a lighthearted and relatable way to share the gospel. The page went viral, reaching 1.7 million views with a reel posted in late November 2024.

South America

In South America, Indigitous is continuing the development of an app, Mission Hub, to help every follower of Jesus take simple next steps to share the Gospel. The Indigitous team met with Fernando Bispo, Student-Led Movement Regional Leader at Cru Latin America and the Caribbean, to discuss what other opportunities there might be for digital missions in South America in 2025.

South Korea

Indigitous South Korea launched a website and Instagram page as a new community is forming following the Indigitous meetup at the Fourth Lausanne Congress in Incheon, South Korea.

Ukraine

In Ukraine, plans are well underway to host #HACK in May 2025 for 100+ young people in collaboration with the Baptist Union.

Soul Care Workshop

On January 7th, Mindy Caliguire , co-founder and president of Soul Care and Ambassador for the ECFA, hosted a one-hour virtual workshop for the Indigitous network. During her talk she encouraged those in attendance saying, “Our work is a second order priority. When these get reversed, our souls wither and the work ultimately suffers. We lose both first and second things.”

United States

In the United States, Nick Wu, Director of Indigitous US, and Kyle Lee, Director of Strategy for Indigitous US, announced their strategic plans for 2025. The Indigitous US community plans to host #HACK in a Box, a three to six hour workshop empowering churches and ministries to innovate and strengthen their communities through design thinking.

“In 2025, Indigitous US is excited to inspire the church to think differently and boldly engage the world with the gospel in faith and relevance,” said Wu. “Through #HACK in a Box, we’re equipping churches to use design thinking to unite the church in problem-solving together for missional impact.”

The Innovation Internship organized by Indigitous US will take place in the summer of 2025. This transformative 10-week program is designed to empower interns with marketplace skills, proficiency with digital tools, and a deep integration of faith, work and missions. By engaging in spiritual formation grounded in Biblical missiology, the interns who participate will learn to live out their faith in impactful, mission-focused ways.

Two new series will begin in 2025. Indigitalks: a series of interviews with subject matter experts will showcase the significance of each digital skill, from social media to UX development, in spreading the Gospel. Thy Staff of Power: a Dungeons and Dragons themed podcast will build a vibrant community of gamers who introduce other gamers to Jesus.

Planning with Campus Crusade for Christ International (CCCI)

On a global scale, Russ Martin, co-founder of Indigitous, Simon Seow, co-founder of Indigitous, Cheryl Boyd, Vice President for Digital Strategies at CCCI, and Eric Coe, Chief of Staff at CCCI, met to discuss key opportunities for Indigitous global in 2025. Together they considered how to build on the momentum of over 120 #HACK projects that were conceptualized in 2024, and more specifically, how to invite followers of Jesus in South Asia and Latin America to take a step to reach their world and pioneer into missional gaps.

“We looked at how we can make Jesus and his mission accessible to anyone, anytime, anywhere, and they want to be a part of it,” said Martin. “We specifically discussed how Indigitous can serve and accelerate the national ministries of CCCI’s network. Our partnership with Cheryl and her team is tremendously valuable in helping the Indigitous network continue to take the Gospel to new people, places, and spaces.”
