What’s Up, Indigitous? June 2025 Highlights

Indigitous communities across the globe collaborate to take the Gospel to new people, places and spaces through the month of June.

For the Indigitous network, June was bustling with activity as communities from every corner of the globe gathered to strategize and launch gospel-focused events.

South Asia

On June 20, Indigitous South Asia hosted a regional #HACK2025 infosession to provide those in the region with contextualized information about hosting a #HACK event in their city. Forty-seven people attended the event, many of whom showed interest in championing #HACK2025.

The following week the community also hosted a conference on the intersection of missions and technology where 40 people from the tech field attended. The event included profound learnings, powerful conversations, and meaningful connections. Many who attended realized a strong desire to engage in missions in the digital space, specifically through collaboration.

The Indigitous South Asia community also gathered to strategize and brainstorm ways to serve a specific city in South Asia through digital events in the year ahead.

United Kingdom

Bible Society UK, a charity committed to making the Bible more available to the world invited Jonah Jala, Director of Digital Engagements at Indigitous and Global Director of #HACK2025, to speak at their online event. In hopes of inspiring attendees,  Jonah shared the mission and vision of Indigiotus with those on the call. Together, attendees explored the types of collaboration Indigitous and Bible Society might engage in to mobilize people for the Gospel.

United States

On June 5, the Indigitous US community hosted a regional #HACK2025 infosession. Thirty-three participants  attended and connected with fellow innovators in North America. Participants were very interested in #HACK2025 and asked questions after hearing the vision of what God could do through their steps of faith.

Singapore

On June 3, Indigitous Singapore hosted a community meetup at the Father’s House. Those who attended prayed, fellowshiped, and discussed further partnership opportunities for digital missions.

On June 26 I AM LOGOS hosted a virtual creative storytelling workshop for leaders. Simon Seow, co-founder of Indigitous, shared a devotional to kick-off the event. The workshop consisted of tips from industry experts to help leaders share the Gospel story through art, music, anime and technology.

The Indigitous Singapore community also hosted a special dinner with Rev. Chris Lee, Vicar at St Saviour’s in London, author, and Instagram influencer, on June 26. The dinner was an informal time of fellowship where Rev. Chris shared the story of his ministry in addition to anecdotes about being an ‘influencer’ for Christ.

Thailand

On June 19 the Indigitous community in Thailand facilitated a collaborative meetup for all of the country’s media ministries. At the meetup, each ministry identified the audience they could best minister to, from Gen Z on social media to Gen Y in the workforce. As part of their action steps, they presented resources and content that uniquely filled a gap in missions.

In addition to the face-to-face media ministries gathering, Indigitous also facilitated a virtual media ministries collaboration in Thailand. Those on the call aimed to answer the question: ‘With so many amazing media ministries creating content in Thailand, how can a follower of Jesus utilize that content to share the Gospel?’

Africa

The Indigitous community in Africa hosted a regional #HACK2025 infosession on June 25. The infosession provided the 37 interested attendees with contextualized information about hosting a #HACK event in their city.

Ethiopia

On June 21 Indigitous Ethiopia hosted the Gara Missional Influencers Meetup at the Gara Innovation Hub. This gathering provided a space for students and professionals to network, learn from one another, and share their vision for marketplace missions.

In June, one of the initiatives of the Gara Missional Innovation Hub included inviting those in the community to submit missional projects for a chance to be showcased as part of a collection of community built projects. Projects eligible to be showcased included websites, apps, games, bots, tools, CLIs, or AI powered apps that would benefit believers. The submission deadline was on June 30, and results of the community project collection will be released in July.

Southeast Asia

On June 20, Indigitous Southeast Asia hosted a regional #HACK2025 infosession where 28 participants  attended and connected with fellow innovators. Attendees expressed their interest with questions after hearing a vision for what God could do through their steps of faith at #HACK2025.

Indigitous Global

The Indigitous global team invited people in the network for a virtual gathering. Those that joined shared life updates, projects they have been working on, and prayer requests.

As of June 30, 62 cities and 35 countries have registered to host #HACK.
