Mission Media University, an online training platform that is “designed to help Christians to be more effective in making disciples and establishing churches,” has announced three new training courses. Each course is limited to 22 students to make it easier to connect with each other and the instructor, so you don’t want to take too long deciding whether you want to sign up. Each course will take five weeks to complete. Below are descriptions of the new courses being offered this fall.
Foundations in Media Strategy
In this class, students will learn about channels, personas and audiences. Find out the right media to use in order to start conversations that matter. Students will create personas and define the needs of their audience. (See our persona creation kit and our Indigitous SESSIONS on this topic). According to Media Mission U, “This course is designed for mission practitioners already using media as well as those who want to know how to begin. It provides a fresh approach to media strategy based on the research of Dr. Frank Preston.” (You may remember Frank from the Indigitous SESSIONS on “Why Rahmad Comes to Faith and Abdul Does Not.”)
The course beginsSeptember 15. Learn more and register here.
